1st Announcement for
Summer School of Advanced Functional Materials 2008

| Recently,
as the booming of information and biology technologies, advanced
functional materials have been developed rapidly. With the synthesis
and characterization of materials in nanometer and atomic scale,
lots of advanced functional materials with outstanding properties
and high performances have discovered together with novel ideas,
concepts and methods. The research in the field of advanced functional
materials has quickly expended to the field of information and
biology technologies. In order to promote the international exchange
and cooperation between scientists from different countries in
the field of advanced functional materials, the Summer School
of Advanced Functional Materials 2008 will be held in Shenyang,
China on July 9-10, 2008, which is organized by the International
Centre for Materials Physics (ICMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences
(CAS). Distinguished scientists both domestic and overseas are
invited to give lectures in various aspects of advanced functional
materials, such as photonic crystals, multiferroics, energy functional
materials, biomaterials, functional composite materials, thin
films and nanomaterials etc. The researchers and students of universities
and institutes are welcome participate the Summer School. Hope
the Summer School will facilitate the cross-disciplinary on synthesis,
characterization and properties of the advanced functional materials
in China. |
